The Finance Manager is responsible for the overall management of the financial and revenue cycle operations of the Department of Radiation Medicine inclusive of all departmental activities, including the clinical (hospital and professional practice), research, administrative, and academic domains. The Manager will provide strategic leadership in financial planning, strategy, analysis, reporting and oversight for all financial and revenue cycle activities and work collaboratively with other units with the hospital and University on all matters related to Radiation Medicine finances and revenue cycle. OHSU's Radiation Medicine practice extends throughout the Portland Metro region and Oregon, including 2 community sites and several collaborative sites with area hospitals.
This position serves as a member of the departmental leadership team and is responsible for continuous improvements in process, productivity, and the success of the Department as it relates to finance, budgeting, and revenue cycle management, metrics, support, policies, and procedures, including efficient billing (technical and professional) and revenue collection. It also provides financial analysis, planning, monitoring and reporting of all Department of Radiation Oncology resources totaling $60+ million and the development and implementation of both School of Medicine and Hospital and Clinics department budgets under the direction of the Department Administrator. The position provides analysis on a wide range of complex issues related to Department funding, expense and administration; and assists in developing and implementing Departmental budget policies and administrative procedures for a wide range of needs. Involvement in continuous improvements in process, productivity, and the success of the Department is a key responsibility of this position.
Experience developing and tracking budgets for multi-cost center activities
Experience developing and implementing financial reporting systems and establishing fund management policies
Experience in accounts payable and ledger reconciliation
Proficient knowledge and skill of Microsoft Office Suite applications
Experience with physician and hospital billing
Proven critical analytical skills
Demonstrated evidence of superior written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated effective time management skills
Ability to proactively establish and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
Ability to handle a variety of complex projects while charting a course of action that effectively and efficiently assists the department in fulfilling goals and objectives, including critical analysis and data-driven strategic planning.
