Providence is calling an Access Services Technician (Home Health Shared Services, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Home Services in Seattle, Washington. In this position you will:
Obtain the initial reimbursement information from Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance companies and/or other third party payers.
Enter demographic information into patient's electronic medical record.
Provide necessary ongoing communications required by private insurance companies and the Department of Social and Health Services.
Verify patient eligibility for the Medicare and/or Medicaid Home Health Benefit.
Work closely with other Intake Staff to ensure responsiveness to referral sources with the appropriate follow through.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
Experience providing customer support
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Prior experience working with insurance authorizations
Prior healthcare experience
Microsoft Office experience, specifically with Word, Excel and Outlook
Electronic Medical Record experience
Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid Benefits
